How to check live Train Running Status via Whatsapp

   Indian Railways, in collaboration with MakeMyTrip , has made it easier to track the live status of a train on WhatsApp. The Railways recently announced that all information regarding train queries could be accessed through WhatsApp. With the new feature, passengers can check train status on WhatsApp.
      In association with MakeMyTrip, the Indian Railways will provide live WhatsApp status updates of trains, including information about train timing, booking status, cancellation and the platform number on which the train will arrive, all on WhatsApp.
     To avail the facility, a passenger will have to save a number, 7349389104, on their mobile phones. Then they can message the respective train number on WhatsApp to the above-mentioned number.

Steps to get Train's live running Status-

Step 1: Firstly make sure you have the latest & updated version of WhatsApp installed on your smartphone. Go to Play Store for Android or App Store for your iOS device and check if your WhatsApp has received an update.
Step 2: WhatsApp doesn’t allow sending a message without first saving a contact number on our smartphone. So, you need to save MakeMyTrip’s number on your smartphone which is 7349389104. Go to your phone’s contact app and save the contact number .
Step 3: Open WhatsApp. If your WhatsApp is taking unusually long to refresh your contact list on its own, tap on the message icon at the bottom > more options at the top right corner > Refresh. Now, you can locate MakeMyTrip on WhatsApp.
Step 4: Open MakeMyTrip chat window on WhatsApp. Enter a specific train number to check live train running status and schedule. As I want to check live status of Janta (BSB-DDN Express), so I entered its train number 14265 .
Step 5: Similarly, you can check your booking status by entering the PNR number. MakeMyTrip should respond with your real-time booking status as soon as possible.
  In many cases, MakeMyTrip replies within a few seconds. So give it a try and use this beneficial information during your journey. Happy Journey!!!!!!!!!
